Hiragana uses symbols to represent syllables and is used to write Japanese words.

さしすせそ     sa shi su se so

ざじずぜぞ     za ji zu ze zo

たちつてと     ta chi tsu te to

はひふへほ     ha hi hu he ho

ばびぶべぼ     ba bi bu be bo
